Lefty and Righty

I have two new boys in my life, two one year old wethers named “Lefty” and “Righty”. We got them off a farmer who was planning to kill them.


Lefty is shy, reserved and loves affection. He has a slight neuroligical problem which happened when his horns were cut off too close to his head. Apparently, the lotion put onto these cut off horns got into his brain and has caused some problems.


Righty is the exact opposite to Lefty, bold, brash and confident. He walks right up to you, sniffs your face and demands oats. He is the ringleader when it comes to doing all the cheeky things like walking into the kitchen and getting through the fence.

I love them dearly. They make my life so much brighter.

Angus the Bearded Dragon

 

I’ve never really had alot of contact with reptiles. I’ve always thought they were amazing, but I never had the oppurtunity to get to know one…until Angus. Angus is a captive Bearded Dragon who lives in a little tank 24 hours a day. He has a hot rock, a branch, water and food…not a life I’d choose to live. He has a big personality. He’s stubborn, cranky (I would be as well if I was locked in a tank!) and knows what he likes. He likes carrot in particular, he likes pats on the head, he likes looking in the mirror and he likes natural sunlight. I don’t agree with reptiles being kept in captivity as pets. They deserve to be able to live their lives as they choose, not as we choose. What are your thoughts?
