Peter Pan

Peter Pan – a boy who can fly and never grows up.

Peter Pan was found in a rubbish bin at a poultry sale on Tuesday morning. Found by two of my friends in a place where chickens are talked about as curry and soup. In a place where chickens are tied together by their feet and wings with cable ties and thrown in to the back of cars. In a place where people only care for themselves and view chickens as nothing.

Little Peter Pan was found clinging to the barest thread of life whilst lying in that bin. He was rushed to the Burwood Bird Vet who kept him in an incubator all day. Everyone did their best to pull him through, but he just didn’t have the strength to make it.

Little Peter Pan can now fly forever more in a place where humans can’t hurt chickens. In a place that is full of faith, trust, and pixie dust.
